Many studios have tried to duplicate the success of Mel Gibson's 2004 blockbuster "The Passion of the Christ" from New Line's disappointing "The Nativity" to an entire Fox division, Fox Faith, which was eventually shuttered. Still, faith-based success stories such as last fall's stunning and completely underreported indie "Fireproof," which grossed over $33 million, has kept the genre alive. Now, according to the Hollywood Reporter, MGM is teaming up with Aloe Entertainment in an attempt to buck that trend and has recruited some impressive names to chronicle the story of Jesus' mother in "Mary."

Snagging the title role is Camilla Bell, whose latest film, "Push" opens in theaters today. She'll be joined by "The Tudor's" Jonathan Rhys Meyers who will play the dual roles of Gabriel and Lucifer. Also on board is cinematic legend Peter O'Toole is set to play Symeon the Righteous who blessed the baby Jesus and his family.

Al Pacino and Jessica Lange are also being recruited in the respective roles of Herod and Anna the Prophetess, but have not yet agreed to appear.

"Mary" will be directed by Argentinean filmmaker Alejandro Agresti who is best known to American moviegoers for directing the romantic drama "The Lake House."

Trying to distance themselves from the "Nativity Story," producer Mary Aloe told the trade paper, "This is not a Christmas movie. This is a part of Mary's life that has never been shown on the big screen before. It takes us through Mary's youth, young love, her life as a new mother and the triumph through the absolute terror of Herod the Great's reign. It is truly a story of real female empowerment."

Production on "Mary" is expected to begin this May in Morocco for an expected spring 2010 release.

Belle says that Robert Pattinson, who portrayed the sexy vampire lead in the hit film opened up to her about the stresses of required "media training."

"My friend Rob, for that whole Twilight nonsense, the studio was having them take all these classes," the 22-year-old actress tells Nylon magazine in its February issue. "It was the most frustrating thing in the world because they want you to speak like someone else, not yourself. It's so silly. And I would be frustrated, too."

The outspoken actress also has a strong opinion about the action film 10,000 BC, which she starred in last year and felt wasn't enough of an acting challenge. "I felt like a puppet … You have to approach it [as], 'This isn't an acting piece, it's a business choice."

As for her next director, Bruce Willis, in the upcoming Three Stories About Joan, she tells the magazine, "I was really surprised. He's very passionate about the actors."

In addition to her blossoming movie career – she's also in PUSH and When a Stranger Calls – Belle says she's got a place in Columbia's freshman class when she's ready to go. "I made the decision to focus on work, and take advantage of this time. But school is there, and I think the most important thing is to continue learning."

Henderson: You've done some traveling, right?
Camilla Belle: I was a bit to mix business with pleasure as I was in Paris for the fashion week - the Chanel and Dior fashion shows were great, then visiting London.Well friends, I actually saw when I was in Howard Webster England, which was funny as usual.Then I went to Scotland and all the tourist things in Edinburgh, played a round of golf at St. Andrews.

Henderson: Tell me about Chumscrubber?
Camilla Belle: We're all very proud of the film.I went to Sundance and It goes well with audiences.It treats teen / parent issues which are important issues we need to know of.We 't
go Arie 's old high school here in LA for a screening and a Q & A fun.It is to be fascinating to see the trailer in theaters rather than on the computer! (laughs)

Henderson: Did you go to the Moscow Film Festival screening?

someone completely unlike myself, plus working with Arie was a dream. He is like one of the children.

Henderson: Tell me about Crystal 's character because it is rather complicated, huh?

Camilla Belle: Well I did this film The Quiet, a very dark drama with Edie Falco and Elisa Cuthbert.I played a deaf mute orphan sources - it was a really intense shoot.Then When we shot a stranger calls last summer, wrapping last month - my first studio film.It was a nice and eautiful
change of pace.

Henderson: It 'sa nice change in the genre, right to the intensity of the quiet to When a Stranger Calls? How did you for the quiet?
Camilla Belle: I had a sign language coach here at home before I did it and my character is obsessed with playing the piano, Beethoven, so I had to learn the Beethoven pieces.When I have I piano in the hotel room and felt really bad because I was pounding out Beethoven, while all these people were sleeping! I had to learn how to block all and all I could do was only this small hermit in my room playing Beethoven, really depressed all the time (laughs). It was hard and interesting life my own little quiet world, but then I came back home and was Camilla again (laughs), but at the time that it was dif difficult.

Henderson: If you are not an actress what would you be?
Camilla Belle: The finitely something to do with the performing arts, that is the one thing I really love.I have always been fascinated with the Cirque du Soleil and what they can do with their bodies.I do not know if I 't fan of that life, but since I was little I wondered what he would want a part of, but I know I never could.
